USB and Flash Memory Data Recovery
Over the past few years USB sticks and Flash Memories such as MMC, SD, microSD, xD and Compact Flash have not only become much larger in capacity they have also become much cheaper, with many people carrying USB Sticks around on their keys. Internally they are all pretty much the same, containing no moving parts and storing your information on tiny chips.
There are many advantages to these types of memory, not only their size and in terms of data security, they can take an awful lot of punishment which would destroy a portable hard drive. Unfortunately though, they do occassionally go wrong. Most commonly they will either not be recognised when plugged into your machine, say they require formatting, or just have missing files.
When this happens just unplug the device or memory stick, DO NOT format it. Contact Hertfordshire Data recovery on 0845 475 4512 and we will be able to help you out.
